Gigi's Playhouse

We are supporting the push to bring Gigi's Playhouse to Bourbonnais!
I met the mom who is responsible for making the Bourbonnais center a reality and she is really an inspiration. Her daughter Avery is 3 and was born with Down Syndrome. Gigi's offers FREE programming for children with DS, educational classes, art/music sessions and pre-natal support for parents. Because of this mom--MANY children with Downs will have the opportunity to show how special they are!

Fundraiser coming up: April 27th at the Majestic Theater in Kankakee!

planning a Minnie & Mickey party

I'm starting to plan Haven's 2nd birthday which is really crazy to me! She is so awesome--actually yesterday I told Mike something was "awesome" and then she replied--"yes mommy-awesome." :)

She is saying and doing hilarious things these days--this morning I sneezed and out of nowhere she said, "bless you mommy." She is also still asking to go on the potty which is really great. She has her "almost terrible twos" moments but for the most part is genuinely sweet and cares about people. She bumped into my leg last night and said, "rorry mommy". Still working on the "s" sound...

I need to try to post on here more often because I dont want to ever forget the funny things she says or how fast she's learning about the world. She notices things, asks questions, answers questions, hugs her friends at school, talks about her cousins and gives kisses all the time.

She is just the BEST!
