BIG update

So Haven came home one day from school and just said, "I potty." It took me a while to figure out what she was talking about but then I put her on the potty and...she went! So, I guess she is potty training herself now.

My big update is that she now goes every night on the potty which is very exciting. :)

I also started giving her a "potty treat" as she calls it which seems to keep her interested in trying.

GOOD NEWS!

Making my new friend

We went to see Mike's cousins over the past weekend and had a great time on their farm. Haven loved feeding the sheep and going out to get eggs from the chickens in the morning. I honestly think she was sad to come home! We also made a stop at their mall in Build A Bear where she picked out a Kermit like Arlie Mae has. GREAT weekend!

Valentine's Day gift from Daddy!

Hey! I'm trying to think about what we've been doing lately and....I'm not really sure. I feel like we've been boring and busy and there isnt much to tell. I just finished wrapping Haven's Easter basket, made 24 cupcakes for her St. Patrick's Day party tomorrow, ran to Target to find her something green to wear tomorrow (because I sent her to school TODAY in her only green shirt) and wrapped up 20 goodie bags for her party. I usually make (or sometimes buy) treats for her school parties but I've been noticing lately that the moms from her class are really showing me up with cute goodie bags and homemade notes for every holiday. Fancy little notes are really NOT happening for a room of 1-2 year olds but I do feel like it might be time to step up my game a bit. SO....I made cute little St. Patrick's Day goodie bags with games inside! TAKE THAT other moms. :)

Mike and I were doing our normal bedtime routine and I started crying like a baby. I'm sure Mike thinks I'm crazy and maybe it's just a Mom thing but she said, "Mommy, hand!" and she was asking me to hold her hand while she fell asleep. She is just the most amazing little person and I had a moment where I remembered how blessed we are to have her. I really don't know how I could ever live without her.
