Thane is ONE!

My big girl!

so much has changed!

Didn't realize that it's been so long since I posted on here! Let's catch up...

Thane is doing awesome at school. I think we officially over the colic which was insane.  He still isn't much of a napper but...that's daycare's problem now! Just kidding...but they do handle it well and he seems to do ok with just a few short cat naps during the day. He sleeps all night so no complaints here.

Haven is also doing great in school--she loves being back with her friends and we are back in a good routine every day.  She slept without a pull up last night which is big news around here! She's been potty trained for a year but her bed is lofted and I have been too scared to let her get down and go to the bathroom alone upstairs so she has been sleeping with a pull up.  Last night she basically told me she wasn't wearing them anymore and acted like I was nuts for making her. So, we figured now is as good a time as any.
She came down this morning to report her "undies" were dry...and again gave me a "you're the crazy one" kind of look.  So, no pull ups and no looking back! We called Mike to tell him and she said, "Daddy, are your undies dry when YOU wake up??"

We celebrated Aunt Lin's bday last weekend with a BBQ and pool party which was really fun.  Arlie, Wes and Macy are growing and everyone is doing really well.

Disney trip coming up! :)

Thane will be starting school next week when I go back to work and we are working on practicing our napping. He currently only naps for short periods when you hold him or if you're driving so daycare is really going to love me when I drop him off next week. He is screaming his head off right now...

Our Perfect Angel is THREE!

Haven just finished about 5 days worth of birthday fun...party at school, zoo on her actual birthday, Lilo and Stitch Luau party and then Monsters University yesterday! Our house is a mess and I could use a nap but it was so worth it. She was really happy and was able to have a few days that were just about her and not about Thane so much. She has been great as a big sister but it was a huge change in her world to have so much attention focused on him all of a sudden. 

"Sometimes I close my eyes and think someone, somewhere must have sprinkled fairy dust on my life. And I am so grateful!"

Haven's little brother is here! Thane West was born on May 7th and weighed 8lbs and 4oz.  We are thrilled to be home and adjusting to our new family of four.
