Big Girl!
Haven Grace is 5 months old! She is smiling and happy and we're loving every minute with her! She is lucky to get a break from daycare for a few weeks thanks to Grammy, Aunt Amanda, and Aunt Lindsey (and Mickey of course). It's been nice knowing she's with family as much as possible. We're really looking forward to spending the holidays with our family too--it has been an awesome year and we have so much to celebrate and be thankful for.

Disney Princess Tour 2010
Buddies
Girls love Aunt Laurel
Arlie's light up Tinkerbell
Back from Disney....Haven had a BLAST! Her first trip was definitely a success! It was a great girls trip: Grammy, Amanda, Lin, Arlene, Haven, Laurel, Aunt Debbie. We've never been to Disney this time of year and it was beautiful. The parks were decorated with Christmas lights and playing Christmas Carols...the best of my two favorite things! It was great to spend a few days with our family enjoying such a magical place. Haven won't remember her first trip but one day we'll tell her how Grammy and Papa wanted to celebrate everything she went through during her first 3 months. She is one tough little cookie and this trip was a celebration of Haven, Arlene, and all the girls! Thank you to Grammy and Papa for making it happen! :)

Dr. Polley check up
She didnt really get to see the doctors but she did get her scar treatment yesterday.
We are to apply it twice a day and massage the scar to try to break up the tissue. Her nurse Chris said that she should go back to the office in December to see both doctors and then she can probably go to yearly appointments...YEARLY! Hard to imagine after going weekly for so long. We're happy that she's doing so well and look forward to the next time we get to see the team.
Dr. Polley and his craniofacial team have truly changed our lives and we're 100% confident we made the right decision by choosing them before Haven was even born. Because Dr. Polley is the very best at what the does, Haven's nose looks perfect and she will have a small scar that is barely noticeable. There will be more surgeries and "touch-ups" in the future but we will cross those bridges when we get to them. :)
Thanks to PAPA for coming with us yesterday!
Now Haven is looking forward to seeing Mickey....two more days!!

19 weeks old today
We put Haven in her high chair for the first time today which was really funny. It's on rollers so she laughed when we pushed her around the house.
So Haven has been getting really sleepy around 6pm and we've been letting her sleep until bathtime at about 8:30pm. The problem with this is that she is wide awake and ready for her day around 3am then which is NOT ok. :) Tonight I let her take a 30 minute nap at 6 and then worked really hard to keep her awake for another few hours....here's how that went:
Big morning!
Haven started eating cereal this morning! More specifically, she played with it in her mouth, spit it back at me, and maybe swallowed one spoonful. She laughed and thought it was all very funny so that was really cute. We're going to keep trying every morning but knowing her, she will catch on fast! She had to be bundled up this morning!
